This is a cicaida. They come out every 17 years and this is their year. They are really freaky and live underground for most of their lives. They only spend 6 weeks above ground. To mate. Then they die. I saw them on the Today show and thought everyone should know about them because they probably wont hear about them for another 17 years...
They truly disturbed me.
