today was mostly awesome

I got up early, hit the store for some food, did the parade and went out to dinner and chilled with Jeff. It was good times. We went to Chili's and then spent about an hour in the executive apartment googling Dr. Howard Feltersnatch on my crackberry.

I had a late makeup time so it was nice to get extra time to relax between the parade and Screamstering. One drawback to the later time was I lost out on the kickass spot and had to find a new one. Brad (from Corkscrew '05) and I were able to team up though so it worked out ok.

The night turned really uncool when I scared a guy and he attacked back. It's all part of the game and there's an extent where you have to be quick on your feet and expect people to fight back. I get kicked, hit and smacked, run into and stepped on every time I'm on the island. This time it was different. He was a big guy, much stronger than me and I actually had to stop and take a breather after this one. He hit me in the chest with both of his hands. It actually knocked the wind out of me.

I was stunned at first, but then I followed him to a cop and they questioned him, and took him off of the island. The Sergent asked me if I wanted him kicked out of the park. He said that he wanted to because of the guy's size, and he should not have attacked me. I said I didn't think he needed kicked out of the park, but he should be banned from all scare zones!

Maybe he was being a tough guy, or didn't think we would scare him. He told the cops that he was in the military and had just gotten back from Iraq. What upsets me about the situation is that he should have known better. While I have nothing but respect for people in the Military, I really do think that he crossed a line... even though it was not completely intentional on his end.

My chest still hurts a little, but I'm fine. I took it easy the rest of the night, mainly because I was pretty scared by the whole situation.

That's all. It's sleep time now.
