Three Week Hiatus: Day 17 August 20, 2010
Today, Tom and I decorated the 5 layer cake without any help from his friends. His friend girlfriend said she wanted to help and was excited, but then Tom’s friend said he had to work on Friday night so we would have had to come alone. I really don’t think she personally likes Tom or I. I think she gets excited around her boyfriend, because she knows his friends are important to him.
The thing that really bugged Tom and I was that he told us he was going to call us back, and never called. He claimed he sent me a text message on Yahoo, but I was on yahoo all night (at least until 3) and I never got a text. (We have a home phone so a text message is not an excuse anymore.)
Tom’s mother took us out to dinner and kept talking about Golden Coral like we have never been there. I had to hold back the laughter. Tom and I have been there at least a dozen times since we have been together in 2007.
I had to call my father about details for Saturday’s visit, and he also wanted to know what Tom wanted for his birthday. I e-mail him two things, but he couldn’t find either thing.
Then my father wanted to know why I don’t visit my brother anymore. First of all, if I was in the hospital, my brother wouldn’t go out of his way to visit me or tell any of my friends where I was or how to get a hold of me. (I was in the hospital for 4 days in 2007 and he wouldn’t even talk to me on the phone.)The second thing is that every time I talk to him, all he wants to know is that if Hailey or Tegan messaged me. . . They are the rich, very spoiled baby-making girls that my brother has a crush on since his friend showed him their pictures. (They are completely leading him on as they enjoy his complimenting them on the phone and buying gifts at Christmas, but do I get anything from my brother? Just a hard time.)
