First of all, I have posted what music has meant to me probably a million times over. I could go to all of my old blogs, and read what I said before, but then it would just sound like a constant, plain report . . . boring!

From about 8 years old until I was 19, I would eat, breathe and live music. Ever since I was a young kid singing to blades of grass in my backyard (pretending that they were millions of my fans), I knew I wanted to be a Rock Star.

I wanted the riches, the fame, the performing, and the traveling all over. . . I wanted to go to the store and have fans freak out because I was buying a Pepsi and can of Pringles chips. (I also wanted the body frame that would allow me to eat the soda-pop and chips without them going to my hips.)

I was 8 years when I started choir and solos. I also performed a lot in high school. There is such an awesome rush when you are state and you are singing a love that you just completely love-it is just so freely.

I had a falling out with music as I had some really bad experiences in college and there were just some professors that just were not helpful. I feel that I wasn’t ready for college that is one of my many reasons I didn’t succeed as well as I would have like. I was a music major and I changed to an education major, but I realized next to music my passion is writing. . . I want to be a writer and I am hoping someday to go back to music and play some piano and sing a little . . . hopefully record and perform it this time.

Music are the rhythm, melody, harmony and lyrics that I use as one of my ways to express everyday life. There are songs out there that just let me scream, cry, dance around the room, sing really loud out of the car window, or just feel right.

There is just something about banging the keys of piano or strumming guitar or singing until you don’t have a voice anymore . . . it just all complete, emotional, productive, creative release.

Some bands and musical artists that inspire me. . .

Hanson

Billy Joel

Madonna

Nickelback

Weird Al

Carly Simon

Barbra Streisand

Metallica

Aerosmith

Tinted Windows

Enation

Jonathan Jackson

Cascada
