I stayed home from work today cuz the AT&T technician was coming to install my stupid new-fangled cable/DSL thing. Actually I was going to work from home in the AM because the appt wasn't till 12-2. But of course they turned off my old DSL in preparation for this install so I could really do any work. Then "dispatch" called at 1:30 to say the tech would now be there btwn 2-4. Ooooook.
3:30 comes around, no tech. So I called and after being on hold for 20 min., I was told there were no techs available the rest of the day, because they over-book. So I said why would you do that? It disrupts people's lives and could be prevented. The dude said their system was broken or something.
Supposedly someone's coming out first thing tomorrow but it was bit of a wasted day. Plus I ordered this stupid service more than 2 weeks ago and already had to wait all this time for the installation!!! Is it too much to ask to be able to watch the Phillies game (WHY CAN'T US?) without black and gray fuzzy horizontal and vertical lines constantly moving around on the screen???
And at least give me my Internet back till the thing is installed! (though I think I can make it 1 night).
