hmm...
wow, its been a while here. i think this one is kinda reserved for more metaphysical things...well, the blog isn't for that anyway. it really is amazing what a situation like this will do to you. i've only been here for less then 3 weeks and i can already tell that i've changed. you wouldn't really think that being in a more diverse place would do that much to you, but it really does. honestly. and you wouldn't think that tasmania would be a diverse place, but it is. different diverse then at home. i dunno, maybe i'm just more exposed to it here. its funny when you think about it actually. we think we know so much at home about the world and what its like and such, (i'm not claiming to know a lot now) but i have a different perspective i think. i never thought i'd hang out with the people i hang out with now, and i definately didnt' think i'd have the ideals that i nave now. its okay though, i don't think its bad at all....just different. and the really odd thing: being the minority. i don't look that different (but they seem to be able to peg americans from 50 yards) but we do get treated differently. not a lot...almost with a kind of mild curiosity. i don't know. anywho...thats my shpeal for the day...
