Reason number 753...
You'll need some back story here, but will make it brief. One of the guys I work with is going thru an ordeal that involves a court case with his soon to be ex-wife, and now every day his 10 year old-ish son comes to the office after school. The kid has a history of trouble in school, getting into fights, talking back to his teachers, bad grades, &c.
So today....The kid is being more obnoxious than usual, talking to himself at full volume, singing, laughing for apparently no reason. After about 15 minutes, he proceeds to announce that he has dug the eyes out of a mouse with a pen. Apparently, he wasn't talking to himself. He then took his new "pet" to the office kitchen and held it under running water in the sink till it died.
And I am the only person who appeared to have a problem with this kids behaviour. Just kept thinking that I was witnessing a serial killer in the making, and that I am the only one who finds it disturbing.
