I posted this in my MySpace so I apologize if you're seeing it twice but I worked really hard and I know some of you may not agree with me 100% and I know its really long but at least check it out:
BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA IS NOT A MUSLIM. He is a Christian man who has been attending a CHRISTIAN church for the past 20 years. He was married in a CHRISTIAN CHURCH and had his children baptized in a CHRISTIAN CHURCH.
Muslim DOES NOT EQUAL terrorist. People who think that way are uneducated, hateful people who do not take time to learn about the cultures of other people. The United States of America was founded on RELIGIOUS FREEDOM and there are approximately 5 million muslims living in this country RIGHT NOW.
MUSLIMS BELIEVE IN ONE, UNIQUE, INCOMPARABLE GOD AND WHOA THEY BELIEVE IN JESUS TOO. To them, Jesus was a prophet along with many other men from the CHRISTIAN BIBLE. They are waiting for Jesus' second coming JUST LIKE EVERY SINGLE CHRISTIAN PERSON ON THIS EARTH.
Islam (the religion muslims practice) breaks down to mean the word "peace". Even if Obama was a muslim, I would feel more comfortable with him being an office than a president or presidential hopeful that wants to continue to keep our men in battle fighting a lost cause for a country who DO NOT WANT us to be there.
What about everyone who says that Obama was sworn in on the Koran? YOU ARE WRONG. He was sworn into office on the HOLY BIBLE. Minnesota congressman Keith Ellison was sworn into office on the Koran, but BARACK OBAMA WAS NOT. I find it hilarious that most of you don't consider yourselves religious, don't go to church, don't read the Bible and yet you find it necessary for our President to do so? Wouldn't you prefer someone who maybe had the same stance you did? The same views? Probably, but you've all been to clouded to see the truth behind all the false rumors.
Obama opposers who say that he has not had enough time in office or that he is too "inexperienced" to be president, let me remind you of John McCain's vice presidential choice, Sarah Palin. Palin was elected the mayor of Wasilla, Alaska which had a population in 2002 (at the time of her tenure as mayor) of 6,300 residents. To put that into perspective, OCALA, FLORIDA has 324,857. Tell me she has experience now. Sure, she was elected governor of Alaska but she has not even competed a full term yet.
I understand she is only a vice presidential hopeful, but John McCain is 72 years old and has had bouts with melanoma. If in some horrible instance he was unable to fulfill his duties as president, we would be stuck with Sarah Palin, a beauty queen, tv show host, and mayor of a tiny town in Alaska.
How about for all of you who said that Hillary Clinton could never be president because she couldn't keep her family together? How many of you spouted that since she couldn't keep her husband satisfied, she could never do the same for our country? Let me remind you that Sarah Palin has 17 year old daughter (who has been subject to Alaska's ABSTINENCE ONLY PROGRAMS her entire life) who is pregnant. Is that keeping your family together? Even if it was just an accident, a mistake, a fluke, is it fair to her family that she is going to take this position that is of so much importance and will take her from her family so often? She has a 4 month old son with Down syndrome, a teenage pregnant daughter and a son in the Army. I would have respected her a million times over if she politely declined the offer as to not put her entire family's personal life on the line.
I really don't see how any middle class American citizen could reasonably vote for John McCain. He defined the income level separating middle class and rich Americans as $5,000,000. How many of YOUR families make 5 million a year? He has a skewed view of the middle class. He is completely OUT OF TOUCH from society. He voted against measures to advance equal pay for women and said women need more "education and training", and we are a "nation of whiners". Excuse me but WTF.
I'll take Obama's "young age" and "lack of experience" over John McCain's senile brain any day.
Remember when Barack Obama didn't put his hand over his heart during the pledge of allegiance? What about this time:
or this time:
or what about this:
He looks like he has gas!
Obama has said himself that sometimes he does it, and sometimes he does not. I challenge every single one of you to tell me that in your 13 +/- years of education, you stood and pledged to the flag EVERY SINGLE MORING WHEN THEY PLAYED IT. I went to school with a majority of you and MOST OF YOU talked through the entire thing, did not pay attention, refused to stand and most certainly DID NOT hold your hand to your heart. At least Obama gives some respect.
At least we know John McCain supports our troops, right? Wrong. How about this?
September 2007: McCain voted against the Webb amendment calling for adequate troop rest between deployments. At the time, nearly 65% of people polled in a CNN poll indicted that "things are going either moderately badly or very badly in Iraq
July 2007: McCain voted against a plan to drawdown troop levels in Iraq. At the time, an ABC poll found that 63% thought the invasion was not worth it, and a CBS News poll found that 72% of respondents wanted troops out within 2 years.
March 2007: McCain was too busy to vote on a bill that would require the start of a drawdown in troop levels within 120 days with a goal of withdrawing nearly all combat troops within one year. Around this time, an NBC News poll found that 55% of respondents indicated that the US goal of achieving victory in Iraq is not possible. This number has not moved significantly since then.
February 2007: For such a strong supporter of the escalation, McCain didn’t even bother to show up and vote against a resolution condemning it. However, at the time a CNN poll found that only 16% of respondents wanted to send more troops to Iraq (that number has since declined to around 10%), while 60% said that some or all should be withdrawn. This number has since gone up to around 70%.
June 2006: McCain voted against a resolution that Bush start withdrawing troops but with no timeline to do so.
May 2006: McCain voted against an amendment that would provide $20 million to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for health care facilities.
April 2006: McCain was one of only 13 Senators to vote against $430,000,000 for the Department of Veteran Affairs for Medical Services for outpatient care and treatment for veterans.
March 2006: McCain voted against increasing Veterans medical services funding by $1.5 billion in FY 2007 to be paid for by closing corporate tax loopholes.
March 2004: McCain once again voted for abusive tax loopholes over veterans when he voted against creating a reserve fund to allow for an increase in Veterans' medical care by $1.8 billion by eliminating abusive tax loopholes. Jeez, McCain really loves those tax loopholes for corporations, since he voted for them over our veterans' needs.
October 2003: McCain voted to table an amendment by Senator Dodd that called for an additional $322,000,000 for safety equipment for United States forces in Iraq and to reduce the amount provided for reconstruction in Iraq by $322,000,000.
April 2003: McCain urged other Senate members to table a vote (which never passed) to provide more than $1 billion for National Guard and Reserve equipment in Iraq related to a shortage of helmets, tents, bullet-proof inserts, and tactical vests.
August 2001: McCain voted against increasing the amount available for medical care for veterans by $650,000,000. To his credit, he also voted against the 2001 Bush tax cuts, which he now supports making permanent, despite the dire financial condition this country is in, and despite the fact that he indicated in 2001 that these tax cuts unfairly benefited the very wealthy at the expense of the middle class.
All John McCain is is another military veteran who likes to talk a big game. Yet time and time again he goes out of his way to vote against those in need of serving our country.
I know we "left-wing nutjobs" like to talk about our taxes and you sure like to put us down so how about A DIRECT QUOTE from Obama and his views on tax reforms/cuts.
Q: Can you make an absolute, read-my-lips pledge that there will be no tax increases of any kind for anyone earning under $200,000 a year?
OBAMA: I not only have pledged not to raise their taxes, I've been the first candidate in this race to specifically say I would cut their taxes. We are going to offset the payroll tax, the most regressive of our taxes, so that families who are middle-income individuals making $75,000 a year or less, that they would get a tax break so that families would see up to $1,000 worth of relief.
Oh, really? How many of you make over $200,000 a year? I am glad someone here understands what middle class means.
I won't even touch subjects like abortion because it has been played to death and will probably never change. I will tell you that Barack Obama supports civil unions for gays ensuring them rights like the ability to visit their dying loved one in the hospital and to ensure that their wishes are carried out if a tragedy occurred. Anyone who opposes this, anyone who would not guarantee the same rights to ALL AMERICANS is wrong.
Stem cell research is (thankfully) endorsed by John McCain and Barack Obama both but opposed by Sarah Palin. This research could help save lives by curing diseases and would help heal the soldiers fighting for our freedom right now. THEY DESERVE IT PEOPLE. I am so sick of the argument that because stem cells can (but do not always!!!) come from aborted fetuses, women will be getting more abortions. Let me ask you, are you getting into car accidents and dying on purpose so you can donate your organs? I certainly hope not.
JUST DO ME A FAVOR PEOPLE? EDUCATE YOURSELVES. READ. WATCH THE NEWS AND NOT FOX NEWS. I am not here to bash anyone's beliefs but I am SICK of people believing EVERY SINGLE THING THEY SEE IN SOME CHAIN E-MAIL. Do you really think the boogy man is going to get you if you don't send this blog to 5 people right now? No? Then use that same common sense and put a little time and effort into reading about these things you receive. They are more often than not a complete lie and farce. I received an email about all the books Sarah Palin supposedly tried to ban from Alaska schools and I looked it up to see if it was true, and I will admit it was not. So please do the same? Please? If all it does is make you not look dumb, just make sure what you are spouting is FACT like I have done for this blog.
If you have any more questions for me, if you want to know anything and don't know where to look or you just think I am wrong and want to challenge me, I welcome you to do so. I HIGHLY suggest
