This is the kind of thing Jonah worries about as he is going to sleep: "What if a bad guy summmoned an army of bad guys and invaded Powell?" Followed by "What is catorce?" (As in 14 in Spanish.)
And now Jonah asked if bad guys had guns. I was honest and said yes. "Even in Ohio? ... What if a bad guy came into the house and killed me?" Given current events, this question did not seem as farfetched as his usual questions. To have a political moment - bad guys should not be able to get guns so easily.
Totally unrelated (and on a lighter note)... Attending camp has taught Jonah a lot of things so far that I didn't expect. Not too surprisingly, he has learned camp songs (including Herman the Worm, a song about penguins, Shame (the handclapping game), and many others). He has also learned card tricks (only 2, though he has done each many times for us), card games (Roger taught he "Egyptian War" last weekend, too), pop songs (especially "Call Me Maybe" which is his current favorite songs), how to make boats and fortune tellers out of paper, and dodgeball. I don't think of these as traditional camp activities, but I am glad he is learning them.
