No mention of poop in this day

July 25, 2007
We woke up early and got our pink and blue polos on to go to the Magic Kingdom. Boys wore light blue with “Daddy” and “Pippy” on them, the girls wore pink ones with “Mommy” and “Boo Boo” on them. We got lots of compliments from guests and cast members alike throughout the day.

Hannah couldn’t find her shirt for the princesses to sign, so we agreed to buy a hat at the park.

Tinkerbelle brought a light-up tiara and wand for Hannah this morning, and a handheld “Wheel of Fortune” game for Alex.

Once we got to the park, we all decided to buy hats. I got a cute white one, Bill got a nice red, white and blue one, and Pippy got a Pirates one that lit up. Hannah got a pink one with “Princess” on it in rhinestones.

Then we took the $100 stroll. When you have breakfast in the castle before the park opens, you get to walk up Main Street with hardly anybody around. It’s a beautiful, serene part of the day and the castle looks amazing. We took lots of pictures with the kids, who were happy to pose nicely for me.

Breakfast was very nice and we had lots of princesses come by. They all liked her wand and crown and they were all very nice. They autographed Hannah’s hat and mine as well. The picture with Hannah and Cinderella turned out really nice.

Bill kept making comments that I interpreted as very, very filthy when they weren’t. It made for a very funny breakfast.

After breakfast we headed into Fantasyland where we rode Snow White’s Scary Adventure (or something like that), Peter Pan’s Flight, It’s a Small World and Philharmagic.

Then we headed into Tomorrowland and went to the Monsters Inc. Laugh Factory, which is new and is very, very funny. We all enjoyed it. Next we got FastPasses for Buzz Lightyear and in the meantime we went on the Carousel of Progress (I insisted).

Then, the moment we were waiting for-The Tomorrowland Transit Authority. We only rode it twice in a row, knowing we’d be back later in the trip to ride it again. Hannah said she was actually looking forward to it because it was in the shade.

We rode Buzz Lightyear and headed to lunch at Tony’s Town Square. We ate pasta and bread and filled our bellies for a good afternoon nap at the hotel.

During lunch, Hannah was making up new dolls for “It’s a Small World.” She said they should have one flossing and she did the flossing motion for the doll. It cracked me up. Alex enjoyed ordering off the adult menu and shared tiramasu with me. I commented that he has a sophisticated palate.

After our nap, I took the kids to the gift shop in search of pralines (they hadn’t sold them in years). We went swimming in the big pool with the slide and the kids had a blast. Some little idiots were in the hot tub and totally ruined my relaxation. Oh well.

I headed back to the room to journal while Bill took the kids out of the pool one minute before they closed it due to lightning.

We all got dressed and headed back to the Magic Kingdom for dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern. This was our final character meal and it was fun. Hannah drew pictures for Minnie and Mickey Mouse. The look on Hannah’s face when she gave them to Minnie and Minnie fawned all over them was priceless. The characters were really nice and Chip (of Chip n’ Dale fame) even gave me a hug and made a kissing noise in my ear. For some reason it made me blush. It was pretty funny.

After dinner we went to ride Pirates of the Caribbean. The kids thought it was OK, Hannah said it was too dark.

I pointed out the Pirates Crocs to Bill and told him if he wanted some those were pretty manly. He admitted they were pretty comfortable and tried on a real pair (I bought him a generic pair for $7). He said the real ones were more comfortable and bought them.

After he put them on and threw away his old pair, the kids and I made a circle around him and properly inducted him into our Croc cult. This was fun.

We rode the Jungle Cruise and had a wonderful driver. We sat up front and he continually referred to Alex and Hannah as Pippy and Boo Boo throughout the entire cruise. They loved that. He also talked to me and Bill, but he wouldn’t call Bill “Daddy.” He really made the cruise fun.

Next we rode Aladdin’s Carpet Ride as promised earlier in the day. From the ride Alex and I saw some amazing lightning.

We beat the crowds home and hit the hay, tired from the day and excited for tomorrow.
