Supreme Court to directly address the Second Amendment for the first time since 1939

Via Orin Kerr, over at the Volokh Conspiracy, the Supreme Court has agreed to rule on whether D.C.'s handgun ban violates the Second Amendment. This is the first time since 1939 that the Supreme Court has agreed to hear a case directly on the scope of the Second Amendment. However this comes down, it has the potential to be a very big deal.
