Riedel Pink Champagne Glasses
Now, I adore Riedel glassware. I love that last year for breast cancer awareness month, they introduced a pink wine tumbler. I bought sets for everyone I thought might appreciate them. I love that they're introducing another pink glass this year to raise money for breast cancer research. But seriously, WTF? First, a stemless Champagne glass is a travesty all by itself. The reason Champagne glasses have such tall stems is to make it easier (and more instictive) to hold the glass by the stem and prevent your hand from warming your Champagne. To add insult to injury, the shape of this glass is ghastly, and its pinkness isn't doing it any favors. If they had designed the shape of these glasses for use on the set of Star Trek: the Next Generation, I would forgive them. TNG had some fabulously silly glassware.
