Random Enterprise Anecdote
Watched an episode of Enterprise last night. There is currently a military contingent on the Enterprise, and Hoshi joins a group of them for dinner. She comments to one of them that they probably don't get many aliens in Duluth, Minnesota. He is taken aback, and comments that she must have dug pretty deep into his file, since he hadn't lived in Duluth since junior high school, and one of the other men tells him Hoshi is a linguistic expert. "Give her a little more time, and she'll be able to tell you what street you grew up on." I thought about rewinding it a bit to see if I could pick out the Minnesota accent, then I realized there was one man at the table who didn't have an accent. The actor is in fact a native of Duluth.
