I finally started this blog up! So, here's what's going on these days...

• On July 14 I had my appointment at the Spanish Consulate in Boston to apply for my visa. It was a bit of a pain-- you don't get much more beaurocratic than consulates!!! But it went relatively smoothly compared to others who were there. The man who finally processed my visa was very nice and greeted me in Spanish as he told me to keep my original documents to take with me to Spain. He also told me to return on August 21st to pick up my visa :-)


• I'm working at Macro International here in Burlington, VT, which is a company that does telephone surveys for various clients. Usually they do surveys for health or other nonprofits. So it's like telemarketing, but you're just asking people to give up some time and info rather than their money. Not the best job in the world, but not horrible... it's OK as something temporary until I leave for Spain, and so I can save up money.
