We stopped by McDonald’s for breakfast, and I took a magnesium supplement to help me relax, and my hands were shaking so bad I could barely open the bottle. Athena and Abram are in our hometown, on a trip down from Colorado. It's almost been enough to make me regret moving away from that place. I just got back from temple tonight. I was there a lot later than usual, because after services, they served a Shabbat dinner to say goodbye to Rabbi L and welcome the new one, Rabbi B. Well, the Shabbat morning service at the Conservative synagogue here yesterday was not at all what I'd expected. On the Conservative scale, this place is much closer to Orthodox than to Reform, which made me feel very lost and uncomfortable for almost the entire service.
