Well, I survived my first week back at work after vacation. My first week back after any time off is usually horrendous, but this one actually wasn't bad. (I'm not really looking forward to next Monday, though.) We hired a new person, R, right before I left for vacation, and he has still has some stuff to learn, but so far, I think things on working out well. My workload before I left was insane, and he has helped with that. This week, I've actually been leaving work on time most days, and I've spending wasting spending a lot of time on social media posting vacation pictures. (Call me paranoid, but I don't post travel pictures while I'm traveling. I always wait until after I get home.)
Some random things about the flight back from New York: I love flying Delta for the little TVs in the backs of each seat. I watched all of Home Alone from New York to Atlanta, and most of Encanto from Atlanta to here. The stewardess even gave us each our own free earphones, which might have been one of the highlights of the trip for me! The headphones that I packed for the trip broke on the first day (and I'm still not sure how), which was really aggravating.
Some randoms lessons that I learned on this vacation:
- Some parents will bring their crying babies and bratty kids literally everywhere, including to every place that's obviously not meant for babies/kids.
- I am truly the last person in the world who still hasn't seen Hamilton.
- Belly shirts and crop tops are VERY popular right now.
- I NEED to buy a new digital camera before we go on vacation again.
Athena and the kids are coming to stay with us for a few days sometime soon, and that should be as exciting and crazy as New York City was, in a slightly different way!
