Guess who ate too many mixed nuts at the last oneg?

A few days ago, in the middle of a frigid cold spell, the week before Thanksgiving, and the day before the monthly Star Trek Club meeting, Muse Watson's "check engine" light came on for the first time since I bought him. UGH! He is such a cranky old car sometimes. I'd actually felt responsible for getting him a new battery and an oil change before the weather got cold, only to have this happen. Fortunately, I was able to get him fixed, but it cost more than I would've liked, and I really had to haul butt to still make it to Star Trek Club. (It has to be a life-or-death situation for me to miss that. I came up with the discussion topic for this month: lamest episode! I went with "The Outcast" from TNG Season 5. So ugh-worthy.) I'm lucky that I live within walking/biking distance to work and the mechanics. Bringing Muse Watson in also gave me an excuse to finally clean him out. His floorboards were kinda embarrassingly full of fast-food bags and cups.

The weather here was so cold until it finally warmed up a few days ago. I had to sleep with Tovah and an extra blanket on my bed, and we even got a pretty heavy snowfall one morning. But this weekend was a complete turnaround, so warm that I was able to hit the dog-park in short sleeves yesterday. Today, though... blegh. My stomach has just been killing me since I woke up this morning, and I'm so stressed about Thanksgiving this year. It will be a loooong solo schlep for me and Muse Watson.

She rented Words and Pictures this weekend, and the characters in it play this game involving five-syllable words. She hasn't stopped saying five-syllable words since she saw it. Antagonistic. Intoxicating. Predominantly. Superiority. It's starting to drive me crazy!
