It's my fanniversary today!
Back in 2008, at the urging of
herself_nyc - whose birthday it is! - I posted my first fic,
Becoming Anne. This "urging" is no reflection on her estimation of my storytelling. (I'm pretty sure she thinks I'm too easy on Spike.) At that point, all she'd ever read from me were comments on her work. But she pointed me at LiveJournal

I'll be eternally grateful for your effort in archiving anaross' work on AO3! Re-reading her stories in late February, mere weeks after my joining both LJ and Elysian Fields (in order to post my very first story on Valentine's Day, my own Valentine to Spuffy) inspired me to write the second fanfic I've ever written, and keep going from there. I love it that my fandom has no shortage of great writers, but anaross ends up being a touch more personally significant. So I'm beyond grateful to have her work archived and more accessible than ever.
And thanks again for organizing seasonal-spuffy. I've read EVERYTHING (fics, artworks, vid--whatever) posted this season (could not hold my breath, like a kid on Halloween), and now I'm suffering from withdrawal, whimpering, "Moar please, and soon?"

I sometimes feel like my most effective role in all this is archivist/cheerleader/glutton! There are so many delicious things already out there, and I want them to last forever and share them with everybody, and still want yummy new things!
So I'll just keep pimpin' the good stuff, and giving people ample opportunity to come up with more. Sometimes, that's even me!
Thanks, sweetie!

Herself was in contact with Anna S., and she pretty much gave blanket permission to archive her work, as long as she is clearly credited, which wasn't always the case. I wonder if more of her stuff could go up on Spanderfiles, too? Hmmmmmm.
