I earnestly meant to do this long ago...

But it's summer! Last weekend, the drag queens were in bloom, the Dykes on Bikes were dressed in their summer clothes (or, you know, not), and all the visitors to Our Fair City were snapping photos of celebrity street signs. It was glorious. And, for once, the summer fog stayed away, so the usual gooseflesh surrounding Pride Weekend was at a ( Read more... )

No no, I'm not envious. Not at all. Absolutely not.

I love that you call them MiAmor and McDiva :)

For some reason, James does more personal appearances on your side of the pond than in California. Still, this is the first live drama I can remember him doing in quite awhile, so it was pretty special.

Heh. Well, Chip is also a pseudonym. 'Cos he's one off the old block, you see.

Oh great report! I really enjoyed reading that. *g*

"so I might get a chance to poke my head into Scott Allie's office. Any messages?"

Tell him to get his head outta his own arse now and again? *g*

I'm glad you liked it. It was a fun night all around.

Um, I'll see what I can do 'bout getting your messsage to Mr. Allie. I may paraphrase, some.

A delightful report all the way . Thank you for sharing!
There was a lot of meaning packed into his gaze though. You all know he can say a lot with a look, right? We communicated. Deeply. *grins* A lot of meaning in these wonderful blue eyes indeed.
The pictures are utterly lovely . Sounds like a great evening.:)

Any message for Scott Allie ? Wait.. no. ;)

About the Summer weather in San Francisco, I know what you mean : to my surprise when we visited there four years ago, it was foggy and rather cold and we had to buy warm jackets to enjoy discovering the city.

It was a really fun night. It had the added benefit of allowing me to chalk up my fannishness to "cultural pursuits". Heh.

I'm sorry that San Francisco worked it's summer magic on you. Personally, I like all the gray, but I do feel sorry for the uninitiated.

Personally, I like all the gray, but I do feel sorry for the uninitiated. We stayed five days and we also had sun and a lovely breeze. But we liked the gray atmosphere too, it suited some places so well. We were mostly surprised by the temperatures since it was the end of August. Both our sons fell in love with San Francisco ( I did too ). My husband already knew the city and guessed that we would. ;)

That was a wonderful report. James looks so teeny and short next to your hubby. :)

:is very jealous, despite repeated James-viewings over the years:

As for what you can say to Scott Allie, tell him to make the Buffy comic less boring.

Also, what a very odd t-shirt James is wearing. Finnish air force? Are those midges?

I overheard James say that he gets all his t-shirts from "you guys" (his fans). It might be an exaggeration, but I'm pretty sure he didn't set out to buy a "Finnish Air Force" tee...and those've got to be some sort of hectoring bug. Still, the thing I like about his t-shirts is how they skim the top of his belt buckle when he raises his arms, which he does a lot, the tease.

He looked pretty teeny next to the other actors, too, but it hardly matters, with a personality that big. I'm going to get leagues of mileage out of that photo, however. I think they look awfully cute together, biased as I am.

Oh I totally agree, and go for it.

Might have guessed the t-shirt was from a fan. Probably a Finnish one.

I completely agree. I have often been grateful that he doesn't tuck in his shirts ;-)

Thanks for posting yours, and in a much more timely fashion! It's sweet of you to say such nice things about McDiva. She's a funny kid, but I like her.
