Right, I have a horrible feeling something's off, because I don't see any other comments, and I'm terribly paranoid that I'm not meant to be doing this. But I'm going to do it anyway and let you know my thoughts on this chapter, because I'm just that obtrusive!

Merlin/Gwen friendship! The Arthur/Merlin interaction I was waiting for that showed up with bells on! Merlin being a Whovian!

“You were smiling,” he said, making it sound as though that sort of thing wasn’t allowed. Absolute favourite line, oh my characterization.
Interesting removal of Sophia and her father, it's like a silent reassurance that yes, Merlin does have a chance. I adore the Arthur/Merlin dynamic, and that Arthur is maintaining his douchebaggery from the first few episodes and he's not head-over-heels in love with Merlin because, really, that's not how he is. (Yet, anyway. Heh.)

Also loving the fact that Merlin is a) more mature than he is in the series because of the fact that he's from the 21st century, and b) THE MAIN CHARACTER OF THE STORY! Not every scene involves him and Arthur doing romantic things! Perfect! It's so believable and ugh. Also adoring Gwen/Lancelot and Arthurian Nerd!Merlin, who I totally relate to. I watched the first season with a bit of a "Wait, Nimueh's the Lady of the Lake, though.." stuck in my head and little niggles about the incorrections, but I learned to like them and I think they make the series all the better. Hopefully Merlin feels that way soon too!

Next chapter, wee-oo~
