I know, I know - I said I'd update more, and I haven't. Keep in mind that I've had significant internet problems for the past week or so (which I believe are finally resolved). Still, that's no excuse. I'll try to be better.
Camp is going well even if it keeps me busybusybusy. I like it! Enough to have accepted an interview as a junior youth group advisor in Washington, DC next year. I think they wanted me as senior youth group advisor but favored a candidate that could stay more than one year. I feel pretty good about my chances with the junior youth group, though, especially as the new youth rabbi is willing to wait 2.5 weeks for a convenient time for me to come to interview before making any decisions. :) I'll almost certainly update on this front as I have more info. (The interview news came only today, so that's hot off the presses.)
Anyway, the reason in particular that I'm posting today is to share the thoughts of children. Our camp group constructed a model of the Western Wall (in Jerusalem) out of boxes this week and invited the campers to fold up prayers and put them in the cracks like happens at the real Western Wall. One other camp group did this (even mine only had limited participation), but the results are very interesting. See if you can guess which one(s) came from the camp counselors. ;-) (Note, these are transcribed exactly as written, though sadly I can't reproduce the pictures drawn on the prayers.)
