What Famous Leader Are You?personality tests by similarminds.com That's the funniest thing I've read all day. And believe me, I've been driving South from Kentucky to Alabama. I've seen signs plastered over the highway: "Where will you spend eternity? Heaven or Hell?" and this sign on a huge 18-wheeler: "Real Men Love Jesus." So yea, me being JFK is a revelation. But on the up side, people at the gas stations just got nicer and more friendler as I neared and passed the Mason Dixon line. It was refreshing to have someone smile and actually look you in the face and wish you a safe trip; I love you nice Southern people!! I want to be a part of your tribe again (minus the Bush adoration).
Made it to Birmingham in one piece. I stayed with my high school bud Bryan Lipson in Louisville, KY last night. Met his roomies and ate dinner with him and my friend Jeff, an acquaintance I made on my last trip through Louisville. Jeff made me a bunch of burned cds: Les Claypool, Frank Zappa, Porcupine Tree, Grolesk, Frogas Band Orchestra, Roger Waters Live, Jerry Cantrall, and he gave me a double "real" CD by the Dandy Warhols. Which is so cool bc I am obsessed with the Brian Jonestown Massacre right now and they were in a documentary called DIG! with the Dandy Warhols. I recognized a couple of the more popular songs, but I was more impressed with the musicianship of the other sets. I didn't think they would sound that good.
So that was my entree into seeing a bunch of people I normally don't get to see. Hanging with Bry was fun- I got to see a bunch of his pictures from Las Vegas (21st birthday!) and we got to catch up on the last couple years- we never get to see each other. I saw him briefly over Yom Kippur, but it was at a little pub in B'ham, he couldn't drink, and it was way too loud. It was kind of an awkward night so I was really happy when I got to stay last night- like old friends, you know?
I'm taking a nap- then dinner with the rents and family friends at Costa's and off to Outback. I might go ahead and finish finding Stacy a present. I don't want to have to worry about it tomorrow. I might take my stepmom to the Gift Basket store tomorrow and see Chel and get Stace's present all fixed up. I am so excited to see everyone and for the wedding!!
I thought this was funny too.
What Classic Movie Are You?personality tests by similarminds.com I am in love with a younger, very adventurous Harrison Ford. Something messed up in time space, majorly. He was supposed to marry me!
