I saw this in today's Yediot Acharonot newspaper! Translation:
The blessings [to be said] when seeing
The king messiah
The Lubavitcher Rebbe
He is the god
There is none other than him!

(From the responsa Lev Chaim part 2 chapter 42)

There already is one of those? Really?

Christians (the ones commonly known as Christians) believe that there is already one of those. Non-Christians, like us, don't believe that that guy is messiah. That is why we don't call that guy "christ." If the guy in the newspaper were Greek speaking, or if his followers were Greek speakers, he would be called christ. As is, these Lubuvitchers, the ones who believe that he is the messiah, believe that he is what is called, in Greek, "christ." So technically, they are "christians," they just believe that another guy is "christ."

Perhaps we could argue then that even though Lubavitchers are christians, they aren`t Christians.

or form a distinct but similar religion best described as Chabidians, since xtianty is the belief that "jesus" was the moshiach and the chabad messianics believe that their now defunt rebbe is the moshiach....or something along those lines
