Daddy taught me "If" when I was a little girl. He would often quote it to me when I was facing adversity to remind me what it meant to have true character. As I was riding the train home, I realized that this was a time to find out "If" I truly was the woman I had professed to be.
Here in the South we say that no matter what, never lose your grace. As I walk through these days of adjusting while continuing to be a mom, daughter, sister, friend, lawyer and Christian. I want to do it with grace, faith and a smile because that is who I am. That is who God created me to be. Just like winter is only a season. Grief is only a season. "Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning." (Psalm 30:5b)
