My father died this morning

I received a call from my sister that my father died this morning. He got up to wash up and then get some more sleep. When he did not come out for breakfast, my mom went to check on him between loads of laundry. He had died in his sleep. He was 83. My parents had been married 57 years.

I just talked to my mom. She said, "I am so sad."

Me too.

We are trying to figure out funeral arrangements. I have to have that follow up on the mammogram tomorrow. My 21 year old has surgery to correct major damage to her wrist on Thursday.

Right now, I am very calm. Maybe, I am numb or in shock.
