So can a desk lamp be something other than a desk lamp even though being a desk lamp is all it knows?
What a crazy past few days. So to begin with, Friday night I was able to meet up with an old friend that I haven't really talked to in two or three years. We went out to Old Town for some dinner and drinks so we could catch up on old times. We decided since I hadn't seen many of the bars in Greensboro, we'd go hopping around. So we left for Cafe Europa and had some drinks, beautiful atmosphere. Then off to the Blue Hour for some flavored Martinis, I had a Key Lime one, it was very nice. It was so great catching up on all the things we had done in the past three years where we've been, what we've done. It's nice to have a friend back. Then Saturday morning at 9 o-fucking-clock in the morning, I was sitting in a three hour class on sound design. The guy teaching it seems to know his shit, like really knows his shit, so I'm looking forward to really learning some stuff. Then Sat. night it was off to Jen's house for a much needed party. It was so good to see everybody, plus we brought some new comers into the fold. Thomas and his friend Jeff, friends of Kelsey's, were in town for the night. Paul, Jenn's intern, came over. Kellie Jo popped in, and Maggie was there. It was a blast! I ended up staying over b/c of the drinking, which was great, cause in the morning the six of us went out to Ham's for lunch. I was so glad I was able to ask for sweet tea and the waitress not say, "sweet what?" Then Jen, Kelsey, Maggie, and I came back to my place and went swimming for a while, made some dinner and watched some TV. Then I met with Athena... We talked somethings out, then just sat around and was able to talk to each other like nothing ever happened, it was really great. Oh well...such is life.
