They held him in to keep an eye on him, and so they could give him a CT scan just to be sure (Head injury, minor, no helmet... yeah, don't blame them for being paranoid, especially as many head injuries don't manifest until a couple days later). He's okay, if still, curiously enough, rather sore. His shoulder also needed attention to, but it is apparently now fixed enough that it will actually heal properly over time (Muscle/tendon strains, mostly). And his ribs merely have bruised cartilage, and will be some time healing, but that's, again, okay.
