[The video comes on with a couple little clicks - his claws against the sides of the Dreamberry - but for the moment, all that's seen is one, narrowed eye. Or what can be construed as an eye, really; the bright, white glow might change one's opinion of whether or not it is one

[It is a good thing he is not outside at the moment. Not that he would be. That infernal snow while not lethal is definitely the source of no small annoyance. The Dreamberry interests him little other than for perusing the amusing sleep time fancies of the other prisoners in this place. Some distasteful and some borderline mind numbing with their stupidity. Honestly, this kind of arrangement does precious little to improve his opinion on the humans as a race.]
[So with those expectations in mind he watches the Device screen flicker to life only for his eyes to quickly widen in unbridled shock. Why if only Raziel could see him now.]
[It is beyond disconcerting to see Raziel's...visage peeking in from the display. His composure is quickly restored however...until Raziel begins his thorough introduction. He lets out a faint chuckle and shakes his head, amused by the degree of information Raziel decides to share with everyone watching the Dreamberry at the moment.]
[Ah so he is also aware of his presence here. Well that certainly takes the fun out of making his presence known. Still most of the time they did meet when events of astronomical proportions unfolded. It still feels strange yet also a little comforting. Not that he sought such things but Raziel was much like himself in the large scheme of things. Something he probably had not anticipated in the planning stages of his game against fate.
When did it happen? When did his plan change to involve saving him as well? Kain doesn't really know now. And in his time, that plan failed partially. Raziel is now trapped inside the purified blade strapped to his back securely.]
[And yet this place does not seem to care for such histories. How convenient indeed.]
Come now. Is that any way to greet an old accomplice?
Reply
[Sarcasm, of course; Raziel's not really fond of that sort of thing as it is.]
Though, accomplice is hardly a word I'd use to describe you.
[Unfortunate acquaintance, maybe.]
Reply
[And there is a secretive smile on his lips, showing just the tip of his fangs before he chuckles, this time for Raziel to see.]
Oh really? Then how would you call me as we both conspire against the very idea of fate?
Reply
[He doesn't sound entirely hostile, of course; it wasn't Kain he was after before this place nabbed him. B(]
If I were to pick a correct label, I'd choose... either rival, or the more loose unfortunate benefactor, perhaps.
Reply
I see.
[And he might actually feel a little disappointed. Just a little though he doesn't let that emotion surface.]
Then I suppose it is my turn to ask a question. What branch of the timestream did you get snatched from?
Reply
[Which he'd gone ahead and assumed, of course.]
I suppose this means we're from largely different times, then; aren't we?
Reply
As different as heaven and earth.
Unfortunately you arrived a little late. Janos was here not too long ago. I took the liberty of making myself at home in his absence. Can't have such a place crumbling to ruins unused.
Reply
I should have expected this. Time doesn't play in my favor, after all.
I never expected you to act in the ways of a homeless crustacean though, Kain; taking Janos's vacant home for your own like a discarded shell on the seafloor.
You didn't take to finding your own, I assume?
Reply
You will be pleased to know that the Janos who once resided here was the resurrected one. How does it feel to hear the ending of your quest before you even begin it?
[Not going to mention his heart was used in that resurrection nope. That's for a more shocking surprise.]
Reply
Reassuring, to say the least.
[Not only does it mean he succeeds where it counts, but it also means he doesn't have to stress out much, here in this land.]
... Where exactly is your new home, by chance?
Speaking through these devices is a little... too foreign, for me.
Reply
[That's his payback for the jab about the house.]
Do you see a mountain floating in the sky?
[And he steps out onto a Balcony overlooking the city below.]
Reply
[And he'll let it roll off his shoulders, thank you.]
I do indeed. It's fairly hard to miss.
Assuming you now reside there, Kain, I do have to ask; how does one without flight reach there?
I know I could fashion my own path should I need to, but you aren't entirely a large, elegant bird.
[sorry kain, you're still a hermit crab to him, now]
Reply
As a matter of fact there is. Somewhere in the city you will find a teleportation pad. Much like the gates in the ancient vampire citadel. Oh. My mistake. You do not yet know what I speak of.
Reply
[Stop spoiling him, bro He's going to take a look around him to see if it's possibly - somehow - nearby, of course; but if not, he doesn't mind looking.]
But if it's a teleportation gate I'm looking for, I'm sure it won't be too difficult to find.
Reply
[Yes he's acting it up just a bit. Rubbing it in your face as well.]
Indeed you should. Humans use it regularly. Alternatively you could always seek passage on the airship that flies around these lands.
Reply
[He's just as good at sniping back though, Kain; no worries there.]
I'm not entirely sure if I'd enjoy flying after losing my only means of flight years ago.
[*cough*Kain*cough*]
Besides, teleportation is a much easier form of transportation, anyway.
[Don't mind if the video starts moving a bit; he's going to search the city real quick for his means up there - and luckily, he doesn't seem to be too far away.]
