Suddenly! A wild progress journal appears!
Yeah it's been a while since I posted, and I've got a few things done so I might as well talk about them. ^^
Alright, so. I finally was able to get Dilly to try on his mock-up and so far it looks pretty perfect. =) Need to get him to try it on again to confirm.
I started on my arm things (the silver ones). I got the base done and glued together and then used Creative PaperClay to start on a curved area so that the couple pieces of foam I glued ontop of eachother would look like one piece. That was interesting. I've never used paperclay before, so I wasn't sure how it would turn out, but it seems fine. And it was pretty easy and without too much mess which I liked. I still need to sand those down and paint them.
Here's what they look like so far:
(You can see my Magnet headphones and Steve(foamy) with my Len wig on in the background of the first one. xD)
I also got the blue side pieces of my dress traced and cut out along with the front middle white piece:
Blue pieces:
White piece (webcam pic because I was too lazy to take the picture with my camera. xD):
And for Brynn (cause I know she occasionally checks these xD
The Kish picture int the background that Brynn made me is hanging in it's temporary home on one of my calendars until I make space for it somewhere else. It's gorgeous <33 I love it so much.
Also in this picture you can kinda see my hat that is like, 95% done!
I cut out all the pieces on Thursday and started sewing them together. Here's what they looked like before:
Cut out:
Then partially sewn together:
And now almost complete!:
I also have the black top part almost completed too:
And that's it for my progress as of yet. =) I'll probably post another one when the dress is sewn together.
