Peoples around the word take part in the practice of pilgrimages. Sites of healing and holiness, places of worhsip and peace. Today, friends, I begin my own way towards Mecca. A common pilgrimage among my set, I plan to ring in another year of life in San Francisco!
Having conquered the first task of making it through airport security--not too difficult seeing as it only took me 15 minutes from max to gate C14--I found myself up against a worse challenge: trying to connect to the internet. Two words: missions accomplished. Appearently, my computer is a bit particular about how it connects to the internet, but having massaged its delicate sensibilities I can now partake in the free wireless of PDX.
I leave for San Francisco in about 40 minutes, and guess what, half the London 2004 program will be there. I ran into Abbey & Michelle at Gate C15 as they were boarding, and they said Will, Jack, and others are all in SF for the weekend. Hilarity, I'm sure, will ensue.
After braving the airways, the land of plenty awaits me. Plans are to hit up SFMOMA, the Castro, and that holy of holies: H&M. Do think good thoughts for me as I celibrate 23 years of life among my brethren.
