This is probably important to read if you play a lot with Leo and/or Elliot! But naturally contains spoilers up to the latest chapter.
POINT NUMBER ONE- Leo actually has a very bad temper, he just doesn't get REALLY angry around Elliot very often because Elliot is angry enough for both of them. His temper does show itself normally by him being a little snarky and punching and kicking people comically, which admittedly I haven't been bringing that out as much as maybe I should have. I'm definitely going to be playing him as more angry more often than I have been though, especially when Elliot isn't around and to people who he doesn't know and doesn't have a reason to be polite towards! But not excessively so, he is still better at controlling himself than he used to be.
POINT THE SECOND- Leo is yandere! If you are one of Elliot's enemies he will not hesitate to kill you. That said, I don't think this is actually going to be too much of an issue in camp. Basically, Leo sucks at fighting, and seems to have an odd definition of "Elliot's enemies". I say this because the Baskervilles threaten Elliot's life in volume six and well, they're still alive! But to be fair Leo does shoot at one of them and Elliot did run into that of his own free will and get involved when he didn't have to be. They weren't going after Elliot specifically. I don't exactly know Leo's exact motivations yet but I'm going to err on the side of him not seriously trying to kill people unless they represent a long-term serious threat to Elliot. Or something like that.
POINT THREE- Leo may or may not have the ability to behead people supernaturally at a significant distance and at will. Basically for the last few chapters Oz and co have been trying to find information about the mysterious headhunter who keeps beheading people using a chain (most likely the Queen of Hearts considering the whole "off with his head!" thing). The last chapter implies pretty strongly that Leo is actually the headhunter. If he is, I don't actually know wtf his motivations are. It's easy enough to say that he killed off Elliot's older brothers because they were in the way of Elliot being the successor to the family, but the other headhunter murders appear to be helping the baskervilles bring Glen (the big badguy) back. Glen does have some kind of connection to Elliot, we're just not sure what it is yet.
I'm pretty tempted to say that Leo doesn't actually have conscious control of his chain, even if he is the headhunter. It's canon for some illegal contractors not to be able to control their chain (just look at Oz and Alice!), and judging by last chapter it seems to happen when Leo is angry. There's also been a lot of foreshadowing about the cult that Leo has a mysterious connection to doing experiments on orphans at the orphanage that Leo grew up in, so they might have forced the connection somehow. It would go a little way to explaining why the current deaths happened, although it still doesn't explain why Leo was around there in the first place. But since this is the headhunter arc I'm sure we'll find out exactly what's going on in the next few chapters.
Basically, until I have a better idea of exactly what's going on with Leo I'm going to say that if he is the headhunter, Camp is suppressing his chain and even if he had wanted to kill people or been in a position where the Queen of Hearts was involuntarily triggered nothing happened because of that. Sooo don't worry about pissing off Leo or attacking Elliot or anything, there will be no beheadings until and unless I know what's going on and it's something that's sustainable in camp. If he has control of it it's quite possible he could just decide not to kill people in camp cause there's no point! IDK we'll see.
FINAL POINT: If you try to cut Leo's hair he will vase you :)
< Elliot> the only thing i can think of is that line where leo's all 'i believe in elliot and i think he can find the headhunter' which probably makes it more likely that if he is
< Elliot> the headhunter then he doesn't know that he is
< Mitchell> mmmm I think he knows
< Elliot> . . . unless he has some weird masochistic desire for elliot to catch him
< Mitchell> he's just being... weird about it
< Elliot> . . .
< Mitchell> either that or he's not sincere about it
< Mitchell> one of the two!
< Elliot> true ...
< Mitchell> I mean it is odd for him to smile like that
< Mitchell> it does stand out
< Mitchell> but it could be standing out for either reason XD
< Elliot> yeah...
< Mitchell> it's possible it's related to the whole I should die if I become Elliot's enemy thing
< Elliot> i mean his co--yeah that
< Mitchell> I have a feeling this arc is going to end with Leo dead :(
< Elliot> ......
< Mitchell> but hey at least I'll have all the canon I could want
< Elliot> 8( leooooo
< Elliot> nnoooooooo
< Elliot> ;;
< Elliot> BAD END
< Elliot> if leo dies i will cry 8(
< Mitchell> well
< Mitchell> either that or they kill the chain I guess
< Mitchell> but I mean he IS pretty crazy chain or not
< Mitchell> but that's a good point, if he doesn't have control of it
< Elliot> ......8(
< Mitchell> Elliot can be directed to it being the chain's fault
< Mitchell> ...... now that's an idea
< Mitchell> maybe Leo wants him to kill the queen of hearts chain
< Elliot> ......hm
< Mitchell> he wants him to figure out the headhunter deal and free leo from having to deal with it
< Mitchell> THAT WOULD BE THE GOOD END
< Elliot> YES IT WOULD
< Elliot> and then i could keep being gay at you and calling your eyes beautiful etc etc
< Mitchell> yes
< Mitchell> and we could have a nice touching scene where you save me from myself and all that
< Elliot> ........:)
