Does it seem like all I ever post about is Gwynnie Bee? Perhaps. I do keep getting dresses in the mail, and I am not yet inured to the joy of new clothing. I needs must pose and brag.
Below you see an image of me in my latest Gwynnie Bee at the National Hamburger Festival this past weekend, posing with Mr. Retro Dog, mascot of a place called, you guessed it, Retro Dog. (They also have a Retro Burger, hence their presence at the festival.) But look at the catalog image of this exact dress. It's... well, either my dress shrank in the wash or that model is a very tiny woman. Also I suppose it's just the way the dress hangs in the front-on pose, but I thought it would be a heavy, stiff fabric. It's a soft, clinging knit.
The advantage of Gwynnie Bee is, of course, I'm in this for variety, so I don't care if the dress isn't what I expected. That's a feature, not a bug. Still, I'm a little in awe of how a slight change in expected length and material weight contrasts this dress with its catalog counterpart. I expected slightly dowdy work-wear, I got a sporty little flirt-dress. It's super comfy, too. Alas, the "buy now" price is $72, which I just can't bring myself to pay for less than a yard of fabric. :P
