I've put a lot on my plate this year, so my resolutions are going to be necessarily cautious.
1. Spend less time on personal entertainment - by this I mean reading books, watching movies and TV. I know I can't stop myself completely, but if I want to get anything done this next year, I have to promise myself no more than two hours a night of pure fun. hrm. Then again, that might lead to me wandering around listlessly feeling punished after two hours of a good book. How about, instead:
Work on a project, chore, or exercise for one hour before I allow myself a nap, tv show, or pleasure reading. I know from experience that if I have a project planned immediately after work, and do it, I am more alert the rest of the evening and get other stuff done as well.
Yeah. That sounds good.
2. Keep my armor in repair so I can attend fight practices on Wednesday nights, despite having football practice mondays, tuesdays, and thursdays. This means I have to manage my time a hell of a lot better than I have, but I am determined not to drop heavy weapons for football. I may not make it to any events between April and June, but at least I'll be able to practice.
3. Take care of my knees and joints. This means taking glucosamin regularly and doing gentle exercises daily. I can't do any part of #2 if I tear my knee.
4. Somehow, throughout all of this, probably on lunch breaks or while waiting for the bus, keep writing.
