I'm going to be trying to write a poem a day for April, which, among other "national months" is National Poetry Month.
(Pfft. Like poetry NEEDS a month. Every month is... yeah, anyway.)
So the prompt for today on
The Poetic Asides Blog is "Origin"
so I wrote this:
Curled tight like a baby's fist
A promise of green
Unfurls upward like falling yarn
From the microbes' dark secrets
To the untelling sun.
