Exciting developments!
Well, I did submit "Trash" to "Strange Horizons" on Friday. Let's see if they like it. If not, hey, it's an online market; I didn't even lose the cost of postage.
I have convinced Brian to take a stab at becoming Mirror Universe Brian, after seeing the pleasant shape and even thickness of his stubble Saturday morning afternoon.
We have finally watched the Battlestar Gallactica finale. I may now read my friends list for the past two weeks!! (Spoiler dodging was quite a chore!)
I also forced my husband against his will to watch "Love, Actually" and he now cannot stop calling me "Plumpy".
The Aztec story has been like pulling teeth, while the Trash story flowed like water out my fingers. Ah well. I've shelved it temporarily, working on my long-planned, much-beloved Cinderella story.
I /did/ write a plot outline, and several possible opening paragraphs. I think I need to decide what mood I want the story to have. I'm leaning toward maudlin-yet-patriotic.
