166 - Do you believe in ghosts?
That is such a long and complicated question.
Do you believe in ghosts?
That's a serious loaded question, and my first initial response is to say no, that I don't believe in ghosts. Because it doesn't really work like that. People die and I take their souls before they die. And then they just kinda follow me around till they move on.
I suppose if you were really really nutty you could call them ghosts. They don't give off heat and you can't see them. There's no misty figure or whatever and no rattling chains. None of that Ghost Hunter stuff is true. Sorry.
Sometimes they ask for us to leave messages for people. If you get a message? It's us, not fucking ghosts. And they all move on. There aren't ones that like stay around to get some shitty resolve. It doesn't work like that. When you're done you're done.
Okay sure, technically there have been ones who have decided to not move on. They think they can stay, and they follow us all around and Rube fucking hates that shit. Gets really annoyed when they don't want to move on. And most of them listen to him, because Rube is fucking scary.
Heh and there was that one lady who wanted us to do all this shit for her so that her son didn't fuck up their fortune, but she was pretty cool in the end. Actually her death had a .. kinda cool impact on me, actually. But whatever. That's not the point.
The point is that yeah they stick around sometimes, but it's never for the reasons you think. Even the people who got ALL fucked up and shot and disembowled or beheaded.. they still go up or around or wherever.
Whether or not they move on now or in a day or two, the point is that they're seriously not ghosts. I mean not really right? Shit, maybe they are. If that's what you think of ghosts, that they're just the spirits of people on this plane before they move on, then shit, sure ghosts are real.
In fact they're all over. Probably sittin right next to you.

Does it really matter if you believe in ghosts? I mean hell, most people I reap don't have any of that.. I mean there's no y'know religious affiliation shit that goes on. Well maybe it is and I just reap the wrong type of people. Maybe the old people in the old homes get the nice Christian stuff or whatever.
In any case, what's more likely is that you're sensing gravelings probably. That's the creepy fucking feeling you feel and your hair all stands up on the back of your necks. The shit that you see out of the corner of your eye that's all misty and fucked up? That's them.
They're the real ghosts. So don't look for your dead relatives and look for signs and shit, that's not really going to get you anywhere.
When you feel that freaky presence, or you think you see something? Go. Leave or whatever you gotta do. Cause trust me, what follows them you don't want. Ghost or not.
