Like Monday, where I had got my period, at least one migraine, and a cold. All at once.
Tuesday was devoted to the minor emergency clinic, where I got told that I didn't have any bacteria in my pee, and that it probably was a migraine that was going on at the same time and not something like a brain aneurysm. They gave me some saline (dehydration) and high-strength ibuprofen-type thing, and got my temp down to 98.7. Within an hour of me leaving the clinic, my temp was back up to 102, but when
fuzzy_guy called, they told him not to bother coming in unless it was above 103. Yay.
This comes at a horrible time too, I have a paper I've been trying to finish, so I don't have to deal with it anymore. I have lab experiments I've been trying to get done and cultures I've been trying to keep going. I have a talk I have to give next week that my continued funding hinges on (and they've already announced that they have one less slot for next year than they did this year). (I'm so tempted to ask the director of the program if I can set an alternate date, but I don't think that's possible)
I cannot. focus. on. work. I've been staring at the computer screen for a couple of days even, before I worked up the energy to write a post.
Being sick sucks.
