time to re-learn the monkey dance
I find out April 11th (my son's birthday) if I still have a job. We will lose 18 people, 1/3 of our department, and who knows if I made the first cut. Then in the 1st quarter of '09 the rounds are made again.
Well, actually, right now I am "affected" and pretty soon I get to know if I will be "impacted". Like a bowel or a tooth.
I love how my department manager actually said, "There is a difference between affected and impacted, let's be clear." Especially since there are no clearer words than "fucked now or later".
