App of the Day - Compass
When I first saw compass app on my phone, I had a good laugh. Why would they install it? And how would you use it in a city as little as Toronto? We have street signs, GPS, most of the newer cars show the direction the car is heading. Now guess what? Today this app saved my open house from turning into a major disaster.
Asian family came in, liked the house to the point of wanting it, but then the war started. They had to know precisely where the East and West were. Husband was showing in one direction and the wife in the other. They started arguing quite loudly in the language I don't speak, running around, tripping over furniture and scaring other visitors.
Good thing I remembered that app we were laughing at, and set the phone on the table for them to see. They stopped running and arguing, checked the compass and looked very pleased.
Then they took off to find their agent. They liked the price, location, floor plans. Those directions seemed to be the only problem. My intuition is telling me - we will be getting an offer.
