10 Cool Halloween Activities

Oct 25, 2013 19:46

Having guests for a Halloween Party? These 10 activities will surely keep them busy, both kids and adults. All of them can be used separately or as a part of one enormous Treasure Hunt. Have fun!

1. Treacherous Pumpkins

You will need 3 hollow pumpkins, each one containing something "disgusting" - previously cooked cold spaghetti (Drakula Guts), feathers (Goblin's Hair), hard boiled eggs (or pickled olives).
If you are doing it as a part of a treasure hunt - put your clues written on a piece of paper (in a ziplock bag) inside each pumpkin. Or if doing a separate game - little prizes - toys, wrapped candy, may be those tiny bottles of alcohol for adults :)
The idea is to find your prize in a pumpkin without looking, you can even blindfold your guests, hopefully along the way they will also guess what exactly they are digging in.

2. Fix the Skeleton
You could by a ready one (we got this one at Wal-Mart) and take it apart or just draw and cut out the bones out of construction paper or cardboard.
The idea is to put your Skeleton together as fast as possible. You might need a stop-watch

3. Mummy

You will need lots and lots of toilet paper.
2 teams will play. Team will choose a team member and "decorate" him or her as a mummy using toilet paper. The most creative team wins!

4. Disgusting Frog Eggs

You will need green Jello, preferably light and dark. We used lime and green apple. There is a message (clue) written on the botton of the paper plate. Your guests will have to eat the "treat" fast to get the message.

5. Ghost busters

You will need a scarf.
One guest will be a ghost buster, the rest - ghosts. Turn on the music and blindfold the Ghost buster. Ghosts will be dancing around and Ghost buster will try to catch them. If the Ghost gets caught he starts screaming, yelling and crying. Ghost buster will have to guess the name of the Ghost.

6. Apple of My Eye
You will need spoons and ping pong balls colored as eye balls. Guests race holding the "eye ball" on a spoon. Whoever drops the ball - loses.

7. Tricky Donuts

You will need a stick - broomstick will work just fine, donuts - the more icing sugar on them - the merrier and some thread. Hang the donuts on a stick and start the donut eating race - no hands allowed!

8. Popping Balloons
Kids love this one. You can put a message (clue) in some of the balloons, confetti and little toys in the others. Whoever pops more balloons - gets more prizes.

9. Funky Apples
Catch the apple, again, no hands allowed. There is a ziplock bag with a messsage attached to some of the apples. The floating zombie hands are rubber gloves filled with water and some red food color. You can turn off the light and use flash light for more fun.

10. Witch's Stew
You will need a lot of small plastic or plush toys - snakes, spiders, rats, bats. Hide them around the house. Guests will have to find them all and cook a Stew - throw them in a pot. Whoever finds more - wins!

Happy Halloween!!!!
