This is a MUST of the season. Easy to make and fast to be gone. I usually make it when I need a compromise between my kids demands for "something sweet" and my growing laziness.... Hope you will enjoy it!

I've never tried putting a meringue under the crust. What's the overall effect once it's baked?

Meringue will not be completely covered by the crust. where it is exposed - it will turn crispy and will be soft where covered by crust

I don't really like meringue. Does this come out like meringue hidden in fruit pie, or does it just help to offer a more moist texture?
