Foody Thursday - Beef Squares
I can bet your quests will never guess what are you serving them! Easy and fast to make, tasty and unusual - beef squares. Beef could be substituted with any other ground meat - turkey, chiken or even ground fish. As you would see on the pictures- made by Alissa - yes, those tiny hands are not mine - so, you have no excuse for not trying them!
We will need some ground meat mixture - same as you do for burgers
I had 2 pounds ground beef, 2 large minced onions, salt, pepper, quarter cup of water.
We will also need some waffle sheets - No Frills has them, I am not sure about other stores.
Spread the meat mixture on to the waffle sheet, cover with another waffle sheet, repeat.
Once you have about 4-5 waffle layers - cut into 2-inch squares
Dip squares into a mixture of lightly beaten egg and some salt.
Cook on the frying pan with some oil, flip when nessessary until golden on all sides.
Serve with your favourite side
And don't tell your guests and family what they are eating - make them guess and have fun!
