You live and you learn.
So I live in Oakland now. Came out here for myself and partially for a boy. That boy is now out of the picture and I can understand that he really wasn't the reason I was meant to come out here.
Since moving out here, I have learned the following things:
- How to cook (I'm comfortable with the basics and I like to try new things)
- How to fend for myself (emotionally); since i have no family out here, I have to find ways to keep myself happy and mentally healthy.
-How to use a FASTRAK pass
-How to park in San Francisco
-How to carry a whole grocery load from Costco up to the third floor in one trip!
-How to live off of $40 in two weeks.
-How to scrub my own floors
-How to make friends all over again
-How to find a Catholic church
-How to find a Mexican food/market in a span of 2 days living here
-How to use the BART
So far, that's all I got, but it's definitely a start. I totally feel like an adult now.
And, it feels awesome.
