Well, the way I see it (in all the ten episodes I've seen ;;) I don't think homophobic is the corrent term to lable Yuuri, if it were me, I'd choose something more along the lines of 'boy'. I mean, Yuuri is a young boy, and you see it all the time in the nature of those young males (especially ones with such close ties to their mothers xD;) that they fear relationships. He isn't afraid of being on the recieving end of Gunter's (affections) because...well, he's Gunter and quite older than Yuuri so I guess he just thinks that nothing would become of it, that and he's just *that* oblivious.

But for Wolfram's case. He's Yuuri's fiancee, and no matter how he tries to be oblivious to it, he knows, everyone knows and everyone expects something to come out of it. I guess that it isn't that Yuuri won't return Wolfram's feeling, it's just that he doesn't know how and the feeling of confusion will untimely lead to the most obvious answer; because Wolfram is a guy. But I guess that doesn't cover all of the aspect. If Yuuri had accidentally been engaged to a girl, I assume he's still react the same way at the show of affection, but his problem wouldn't center around the age old gender issue because Yuuri being the--wide eyes naive dimwit--that he is, I guess it just comes as something natural to him to think that he wants a straight relationship, when it isn't the gender that he's afraid of, it's the relationship concept on a whole.

Sharing body heat would probably keep you alive. Sorry, Yuuri. It is indeed a very true legend. ;)

I do think Yuuri is homophobic. Homophobic like those homophobes who are actually homosexuals in denial. Actually, I shouldn't really say that Yuuri is necessarily gay since sexuality is so multidimensional, but he is at least somewhat queer in regards to Wolfram. I'm sorry, but "we're both boys" is a poor excuse. A good excuse is "he's a good friend, but I don't find him attractive", which Yuuri can't say since we all know he thinks Wolfram is way cute. Yes, my fangirl tendencies sometimes get the better of me. *ahem*

But on a serious note, you never do see Yuuri come up with an excuse that's not Wolfram's sex.

After finding about the spoilers to the end of the show, I do believe that "in the future" Yuuri and Wolfram do have a good chance. But I know I do a lit of wishful thinking. Alas. Damn you KKM writers for inticing, yet continuously disappointing me!
