"dredging up memories of the young teacher"

Tears started.
I've never written a post before...but this story stayed with me. Not only did I enjoy it for it's story,
but it brought back memories of my own Dad who's been gone for more than 10 years now. I have to thank you for that:)
All I can say is that it does get better over time and your memories will fade in and out, but if you get a nice trigger like this...it's all ok.
I know this is not a new entry and I only read it about a week ago for the first time, so I hope you read this. My condolences and thank you and happy birthday to your papa:) Suzanne.

aww, now i'm tearing up for you. it's hard, it'll be 4 years this july. yeah, he was in his 60s, but it still felt too soon. i don't mind remembering. i'm glad the story moved you, even in a sad way. i guess i wanted to affirm that even naruto, who would take iruka's death the hardest, could move beyond the sorrow and turn it into a life-affirming event - he's seems pretty good at that.

and how nice you found the story just before iruka's birthday (friday, i believe - may26). *grin*

Ah... This is beautiful. Extremely sad, but beautiful. The ritual of remembering, the different expressions of grief, the need to laugh and remember... As painful as this was to read, it's gorgeous and so well written. *hugs* for you <3

glad you liked it, and it wasn't confusing to read. this was before i found out i was supposed to separate dialog from narrative. huh, live and learn.

i like the idea of naruto being silly even as hokage.
