Red Dead Redemption
A video game about the dying wild west.
It has single player and online multiplayer.
Tonight, I was playing online
with several other strangers around the USA.
I had formed a posse.
There were eight of us were roaming
this virtual wild west simulation.
Who knows who these other players were,
female, male, race, age...
It didn't matter, we were all on a mission!
We went from one gang hideout to another.
Seven total hideouts to conquer.
I usually take them on alone,
which means more XP for my character...
but as a posse, it was a lot of fun.
There were only two more hideouts to go,
somewhere in the Mexico part of this virtual world.
I knew once we had finished the gang hideouts,
our options were limited to a few other game modes...
I wasn't planning on going back and doing it all over again.
I also wasn't planning on playing any other game mode.
I had a short time to figure out how to disband this posse.
Then it occurred to me...
I knew how to end this awesomely.
We made short work of the last two hideouts
and as the dust cleared,
I didn't call for my horse.
I just had my character stand still.
The other members of the posse gathered around me.
I am sure they all had a similar thought -
"What next?"
Will we raze local cities?
Will we play through the hideouts again?
Will we play another mode?
Will we all start shooting one another?
Hmm...What next?
I pulled out a stick of dynamite.
You have only a few seconds to throw it,
otherwise you explode...
I wasn't going to throw this dynamite.
I was going out with a bang!
The other members of the posse
saw what I was about to do
and tried their best to run away.
After my character exploded,
I shut off my XBOX 360.
I was on the floor, buckled over laughing.
I haven't laughed that hard for a very long time.
