The door opens wide to allow Mike to come in. "Wèi. Check it out."

"I know - I'm going to actually have to pay Esme or something."

Normally Sallie pays in food.

The woman waves Mike over to the two stools next to the new island in the kitchen, peeking in the refrigerator for whatever edibles Sallie has moved in there thus far. "What's the news? Somethin's up with everyone being sick -- "

"Shi a," Sallie nods, furrowing her look to him some. "You ain't noticed the run on tissue boxes?"

Not that the bar ever truly has a low supply of anything.

"Everywhere I turn seems someone new is trying to sneeze at me."

Mike looking sheepish should usually worry folk, but Sallie doesn't really think to ask on that front. Mike's headspace is fairly quiet since Sallie has been working on blocking (and Mike is far better at it anyway), and Mike deserves his own time.
