8 - Do you write OCs? And if so, what do you do to make certain they're not Mary Sues, and if not, explain your thoughts on OCs.
The D&DC is full of bit-parts, with the group meeting new people in nearly every episode. I think this fact makes it difficult to write a longer fic for the fandom without introducing OCs.
I have only written one longer fic (so far), which had 3 OCs. The main one could possible have become a Mary Sue if I hadn't been careful. I did have her drug Hank and Bobby at one point, but she always had good intentions. I hope she came across as a normal, caring, but not overly so, wife and mother. I'm sure someone on my f-list will let me know if they disagree.
I have OCs in the fic I am working on too, but the main one there, again female, does not always get things quite right and actually causes a lot of trouble. Hopefully this means she is not at rick of being a Mary Sue.
