It seems that the public video site YouTube has become home to all of the 1980s music videos that the Milk Brother spent so many hours watching as a teenager. Of course, the Milk Brother's folks would not pop for extended cable, so I never saw MTV. So instead, my foster brother and I spent our Friday and Saturday evenings watching "Night Tracks" on WTBS until the wee hours. Yes, we were dorks, with no social lives of which to speak. And we would complain endlessly about the "scrote" singers; that is, the scratchy throated voices of Bonnie Tyler, Rod Stewart, Kim Carnes, et al. Of course, we would practice our air band skills, for all of the air band contests we never entered.
Ah, the memories.
Here is a video the Milk Brother remembers well, linked to just for my Bliss Partner (who is plotting to someday drag me up to sing the song with her in a karaoke bar.).
