"Hey, Kanji! Come on, hurry up!"
Senpai and the others were already halfway down the street, waving at him. Yosuke-senpai and Chie-senpai were arguing, as usual; Teddie, minus the bear suit, was talking energetically at Yukiko-senpai; and Rise seemed to be...doing something to Naoto's hat (putting stickers on it?). Souji-senpai waved at him again. They were all far away, but somehow they still seemed taller than usual.
Kanji was walking toward them, but for some reason his legs weren't moving very fast. He started to run instead. But as he got closer, they all still seemed way too tall, looming over him. And something was squeaking, what the hell was that? And why couldn't he see the buildings on the sides of the street? It was like he could only see out of those two weird holes in front of his eyes--
OOF. He tripped and faceplanted hard on the pavement, and something around his neck popped off and rolled away. Was that--
...Teddie's bear head?
Teddie stopped talking and marched over to him, picking the head up off the ground. "Kanji! You have to do a good job or I'm never letting you touch my fur again!" He plonked the head back down on top of the suit, trapping Kanji inside it once again. "And don't get it dirty!"
Kanji scowled inside the suit and flailed his little bear arms. Stupid Teddie.
